Abstract
Os processos do habitat popular ou periférico representam lutas e repertórios de ação coletiva com uma riqueza de pesquisa acumulada de conhecimento e interpretações de diferentes perspectivas e diversos métodos de apropriação. No entanto, pouco foi dito sobre as suas atuais transformações espaço-temporais, os processos de gentrificação que agora restabelecem as trajetórias do habitat popular e, em particular, as lógicas que operam e foram inerentes ao processo. Estes últimos constituem, ao mesmo tempo, os fatores explicativos da transformação e perda dos tecidos sociais que, no passado, enriqueceram cada uma das etapas do processo de produção social do habitat. Neste artigo, procura-se uma análise, na chave do habitat das transformações do habitat popular à luz das lógicas que operam na definição das trajetórias de bairro únicas, a saber, a necessidade, o Estado e o mercado.
