Abstract
El banquete de homenaje a Luis Araquistáin, celebrado en enero de 1922, fue un acontecimiento clave de la vida intelectual española. En él se escenificó la reconfiguración del mapa literario español: los literatos cerraron filas contra las producciones del mercado literario y la afirmación de una literatura pura anticipó el desapego hacia el compromiso político y social de los escritores que dominaría los años siguientes. El banquete fue un acto de política literaria, la escenificación de una acentuación de la autonomía del campo literario español, en la que fue decisiva la contribución del ultraísmo.
