Abstract
Le Mexique a attiré l’attention de plusieurs Canadiens français dans la première moitié du XXe siècle. J’analyse dans cette publication l’intérêt pour ce pays des jésuites Antonio Dragon et Joseph Ledit. Ils ont écrit livres, articles et ont même réalisé des films, dans le cas de Dragon, pour faire la promotion de l’histoire mexicaine au Québec dans le but d’animer des réseaux transaméricains de résistance catholique. Cet article s’intéresse à leurs publications et analyse leur défense des positions catholiques dans la lutte opposant l’Église à l’État révolutionnaire au Mexique. Ces publications visaient aussi à sensibiliser le lectorat à la menace que le communisme athée faisait peser sur l’Occident.
