espanolEn el presente analisis se revisa, a traves del metodo deductivo, la historia del programa nuclear de India, su importancia para la realidad geopolitica regional que enfrenta el pais y el papel de las grandes potencias y otras naciones, como Canada, en la nuclearizacion de Nueva Delhi. Se detallan las caracteristicas de las capacidades nucleares de India, al igual que de su presupuesto de defensa y la delgada linea que separa los usos pacificos de los usos belicos de la energia nuclear. EnglishThis analysis reviews, through the deductive method, the history of the nuclear programme of India, its importance for the regional geopolitical reality that the country faces and the role of the world powers and other nations, such as Canada, in the nuclearization of New Delhi. The characteristics of the nuclear capabilities of India are specified as well as its defense budget, and the thin line between the peaceful and violent uses of nuclear energy.
