Le 25 janvier 2006, une série télévisée intitulée Pure laine faisait son apparition sur la chaîne publique québécoise Télé-Québec. Lors de sa sortie, Pure laine reçut un accueil plutôt favorable du milieu médiatique. Cette série de vingt-six épisodes, qui a duré deux saisons, présente de manière humoristique la diversité ethnoculturelle au Québec. La présente contribution vise à enrichir les pistes théoriques explorées dans la recherche en communication interculturelle en s’appuyant sur la série Pure laine. À travers le cas de cette série, on cherche à comprendre le traitement de la diversité par les médias et on interroge le rôle de ces derniers dans le processus de communication interculturelle.
