Abstract
Este artigo tem por objetivos: 1º) apresentar a distinção entre os processos de flexibilidade, desregulamentação e a precariedade das relações de trabalho, compreendidos pela grande maioria dos autores como parte das reformas neoliberais das últimas décadas do século passado. Essa distinção é necessária por que, no Brasil, as relações de trabalho são rigidamente regulamentadas desde a promulgação da Consolidação das Leis do Trabalho (CLT) em 1943 e sempre foram precárias; 2º) apresentar as relações de trabalho que se consolidaram a partir das transformações tecnológicas e organizacionais que tipificaram as últimas décadas do século XX e que transformaram os mercados de trabalho e, em consequência, as condições de trabalho e de vida dos trabalhadores.
