Peu d’épreuves de compréhension en lecture peuvent informer les enseignants de la 6 e année du primaire à l’égard des connaissances et habiletés des élèves, mais aussi de leurs besoins d’apprentissage. L’objectif de cet article est donc de présenter l’élaboration et la pertinence d’une épreuve qui s’appuie sur des modèles théoriques de la compréhension en lecture et qui a suivi les étapes de conception d’un test suggérées par DeVellis (2003). Les étapes parcourues pour concevoir cette épreuve sont décrites dans cet article, en plus de la détermination de ses qualités psychométriques et de son potentiel pour évaluer la compréhension en lecture selon des processus précis.
