Dans un contexte de surexploitation, l’ensemencement est un outil de gestion largement utilisé afin de soutenir et d’améliorer autant les pêcheries sportives que commerciales. Les impacts de cette pratique sur les mélanges génétiques individuels et populationnels ont été documentés par de nombreuses études. Néanmoins, peu d’études se sont penchées sur les déterminismes des mélanges génétiques découlant de cette pratique. Cette étude visait à investiguer cet aspect par le génotypage à 19 marqueurs microsatellites de 3341 touladis (Salvelinus namaycush) provenant de 72 lacs. Les résultats ont montré une altération profonde de l’intégrité génétique des populations ensemencées. L’intensité des ensemencements était fortement corrélée aux taux de mélange génétique observés dans les populations ensemencées et une valeur seuil d’homogénéisation totale entre les populations sources et les populations ensemencées a été identifiée. Finalement, nos résultats suggèrent que dans certains cas, les impacts génétiques des ensemencements pourraient être de courte durée.
