Abstract
Printemps 1929. Un mois apres la mort suspecte de la jeune Judith Larocque, Leo Dery, detective prive, se voit confier l'enquete par les parents de la victime puisque la police pietine. Avec ses methodes peu conventionnelles, Leo decouvre que la jeune femme de bonne famille avait une liaison amoureuse « douteuse », qu'elle etait une habituee d'un bar jazz dans Griffintown et qu'elle etait tres impliquee dans les luttes feministes aux cotes de Therese Casgrain et des dames de la haute societe montrealaise. De plus, un pamphlet du Ku Klux Klan trouve dans les affaires personnelles de la defunte assombrit davantage le portrait. Que cachait-elle donc? Qui l'a tuee ? C'est ce que cherche a savoir Leo.
