No campo da vídeo-cena, múltiplos são os suportes de recepção ou difusão da imagem e, desde a década de 1950, quando das famosas explorações de Josef Svoboda, a materialidade da tela conheceu distintos empregos. Este artigo aborda em especial a situação do corpo-tela, um corpo que recebe a imagem, um corpo-tela percebido como um corpo mediador. Adota-se, como objeto de análise, espetáculos ou performances de artistas europeus ou norte-americanos, bem como experiências pessoais realizadas em ateliês, nas quais pode-se perceber que a projeção sobre o corpo ou parte dele vem modificá-lo e perturbar a leitura realizada a seu respeito.
