Les nouvelles technologies constituent un défi que notre école se doit de relever. Dans le cadre de notre projet eZoomBook (eZB), nous créons des livres numériques enrichis, grâce au format eZB, à partir de textes du patrimoine. Ce format de livre numérique permet d’intégrer plusieurs onglets et documents (versions dans différentes langues, résumés, images, documents audio, vidéo, etc.) accessibles de manière quasi instantanée grâce à la fonctionnalité « zoom » du format eZB. Notre objectif relève d’une transmission de patrimoine littéraire en adéquation avec la mission que Hannah Arendt assigne à l’école en inscrivant l’apprenant dans un monde nécessairement plus ancien que lui. En proposant aux élèves l’outil numérique eZB, nous leur donnons, de manière concrète, « les moyens de comprendre et d’organiser la complexité » (Becchetti-Bizot, 2012) et d’intégrer des OSS (Objets Sémiotiques Secondaires) à une construction collaborative. Nos travaux, en collaboration avec l’Académie de Nantes, rendent compte de l’intérêt d’eZB pour des enseignants du cycle 3 et livrent les résultats de notre expérimentation dans une classe de primaire : l’eZB permet, dans une approche multimodale, de rassembler, d’organiser et de valoriser l’ensemble des activités menées aucours du semestre, tout en préservant la liberté des enseignants qui souhaitent avoir la liberté d’improviser en se fiant à leur intuition de pédagogue (Gladwell,2005).
