Abstract
Artiste installé en Polynésie française, Andreas Dettloff est à l’origine d’une série d’oeuvres incitant au dialogue et à penser l’autre. Au moyen d’un détournement de la mort par l’humour, la série dite des Crânes 1 confronte les spectateurs à des référents culturels malmenés par le temps et le choc des cultures. Étudier certaines de ces productions sera ici le moyen d’observer et d’attester des points de rencontres et de conflits au sein de la société contemporaine de Polynésie française, en faisant référence à l’anthropologie et à l’histoire de l’art. Faites d’irrévérences envers les poncifs, ces oeuvres viennent bousculer les spectateurs et les forcer à devenir partie prenante des débats.
