Abstract
La sous-médiatisation du sport féminin est un questionnement récurrent des recherches en sciences sociales. Leurs interrogations reposent principalement sur les médias traditionnels et très peu sur Internet qui se positionne pourtant comme le 2e support médiatique de diffusion sportive. Si le football féminin reste encore faiblement présent dans l’ensemble des médias, il connaît néanmoins une forte croissance depuis quelques années. L’objectif ici est de saisir la portée et les formes de visibilité d’Internet dans un contexte fortement dominé par l’hégémonie masculine. La recherche se fonde sur un suivi des acteurs et actrices du football féminin et sur une observation netnographique des sites Internet spécifiques. La tension entre le genre et la médiatisation du sport féminin montre comment Internet et son poids dans la diffusion du sport pourraient offrir (ou pas) une alternative de mise en visibilité du football féminin et une nouvelle lecture du féminin et du masculin.
