Abstract
L’objectif de cette contribution est d’interroger la manière dont les enseignants donnent sens aux politiques de gouvernance par les résultats. Quels types de légitimité (morale, pragmatique et cognitive) leur accordent-ils ou non ? Une analyse qualitative est menée sur le discours de 53 enseignants du primaire issus de 4 contextes éducatifs francophones distincts quant à leur politique de gouvernance par les résultats : en Suisse (N = 16), en Belgique (N = 12), au Québec (N = 11) et en Ontario (N = 14). Notre analyse identifie les nombreuses ambivalences des enseignants à l’égard des principes moraux qui justifient ces politiques, mais aussi des théories et présupposés cognitifs qui les sous-tendent et de leurs incidences concrètes sur leur travail.
