Abstract
Les familles d’enfants ayant un trouble du spectre de l’autisme (TSA) vivent des difficultés financières importantes en raison des besoins de services spécialisés de ces enfants et du faible taux d’emploi des mères. À la lumière du contexte actuel où l’indépendance financière et l’autonomie entre partenaires sont valorisés, les auteures veulent circonscrire les dynamiques économiques entre les parents d’enfant ayant un TSA. L’analyse qualitative réalisée à partir de 18 entretiens auprès de ces parents démontre que les inégalités financières dans le ménage sont courantes et que les mères sont susceptibles de s’appauvrir à court, à moyen et à long terme.
