Abstract
Le thème du corps féminin occupe une place centrale dans l’univers théâtral de Brigitte Haentjens. Depuis la fondation de Sibyllines, elle élabore, dans ses mises en scène, des personnages s’inscrivant dans un imaginaire féminin qui feint la normativité, jusqu’à ce que, à force de répétition, leur image se torde et en vienne à se contredire elle-même. Ici, nous exposons quatre dimensions de cette représentation conflictuelle : celle de la structure rythmique du mouvement chorégraphique des corps en scène, du personnage démultiplié dans la forme chorale, de l’apparat vestimentaire des femmes en scène et du langage gestuel qu’elles développent. L’étude s’appuie sur des exemples tirés de trois spectacles :Hamlet-machine(2001),La cloche de verre(2003) etMédée-Matériau(2004).
