Un danseur met toujours en jeu une part de son histoire personnelle (vécu, émotions, sensations) dans son travail d’interprétation. Pourtant, cette histoire, tout aussi porteuse de sens que secrète, est rarement mise en forme dans un récit livré de vive voix par le danseur lui-même et juxtaposé à sa prestation dansée. En se penchant sur l’élaboration de deux rôles autobiographiques tirés de sa pratique, l’auteure examine les particularités d’une performance simultanée de narration et de danse. Se dessine à travers le corps, la voix et le texte du danseur une interdisciplinarité constituée de tensions, de relances, d’éloignements ou de croisements qui, au final, s’appuie sur le savoir-faire de l’interprète en danse et nourrit ses possibilités sensibles et expressives.
