Le présent texte résume une recherche réalisée en collaboration entre une chercheuse et une enseignante et vise à présenter la mise en oeuvre de l’enseignement avec la littérature de jeunesse, spécifiquement avec l’album de jeunesse (livre court destiné aux enfants ou aux adolescents, où l’illustration et l’image soutiennent la compréhension) auprès d’une élève ayant des incapacités intellectuelles sévères ou profondes. Il s’agit d’une recherche collaborative de nature descriptive et exploratoire. Les résultats décrivent l’appropriation de pratiques d’enseignement avec la littérature de jeunesse par une enseignante auprès d’une élève ayant des incapacités intellectuelles sévères ou profondes. Il est question tant des caractéristiques de l’enseignante, que du contexte de la classe, de l’environnement et du choix des livres.
