Abstract
Zusammenfassung In den vergangenen vier Jahrzehnten erfuhr Prävention und Gesundheitsförderung in Deutschland eine deutliche Weiterentwicklung und Ausdifferenzierung. Die Ottawa Charta trug wesentlich zur gesetzlichen Verankerung 1989 als Aufgabe der Krankenkassen und zum Aufbau von Strukturen bei. Trotz zwischenzeitlicher Rückschritte entwickelte sich seit der Jahrhundertwende über eine politische Willensbildung für mehr Prävention eine stärker qualitätsorientierte Gesundheitsförderung. Dennoch dauerte es anderthalb Jahrzehnte, bis im vierten Anlauf 2015 ein sozialversicherungsbasiertes Präventionsgesetz verabschiedet wurde. Mit der Einbindung zahlreicher Akteure bietet dieses Chancen für eine Stärkung der Prävention und Gesundheitsförderung auf Bundes-, Landes- und kommunaler Ebene.
