Les pratiques agricoles peuvent participer à la propagation des gènes de résistances aux antimicrobiens (GRAs) dans l’environnement. En effet, les épandages de lisier de porc introduisent des microorganismes résistants aux antimicrobiens dans le sol. Cette étude a permis d’évaluer l'impact d’épandages répétés de lisier de porc et du travail du sol sur la présence de GRAs dans le sol et l'eau de drainage en grandes cultures. Les bactéries Escherichia coli et entérocoques ont été dénombrées. Après l’extraction d'ADN, les gènes de résistance tet(T), sul1 et blaCTX-M-1 ont été quantifiés par qPCR. La détection des gènes mcr-1 et mcr-2 a été réalisée par PCR conventionnelle. D’après les résultats obtenus, l’épandage du lisier de porc à une dose élevée (45m3/ha) a eu un impact à long terme sur l’abondances des gènes tet(T) et sul1 dans le sol. Une dose plus faible (20m3/ha) a eu un impact à court terme. L’abondance des gènes sul1 dans l’eau de drainage a significativement diminué 15 jours après l’épandage comparé à 169 jours pour les gènes tet(T). Le travail du sol n’a pas eu d’impact sur la présence et l’abondance des GRAs dans les échantillons. Les gènes blaCTX-M-1 ont été détectés dans le lisier et dans 7 échantillons d'eau, mais aucun lien n’a été établi avec les traitements. Les gènes mcr-1 et mcr-2 n'ont pas été détectés. Ce projet a permis de démontrer que le réservoir des gènes de résistance à la tétracycline et aux sulfamides dans le sol peut être augmenté après l’épandage répété de lisier à dose élevée.
