Abstract
Il s’agit ici de traiter de l’évolution des catégories de pensée et d’action visant à saisir l’hétérogénéité des élèves à partir d’une lecture thématique et diachronique de rapports de commissions d’enquête sur l’éducation en Ontario, sachant que l’éducation est de juridiction provinciale au Canada. À la frontière des héritages français et anglais, au cœur d’un processus de réconciliation avec le monde autochtone, il apparaît pertinent d’interroger ce terrain en contrepoint des connaissances accumulées à ce sujet tant en France, aux États-Unis qu’en Grande-Bretagne, sans prétendre toutefois faire le tour de cette ambitieuse thématique.
