Après avoir présenté trois principes fondamentaux en christologie, nous appliquerons à la connaissance humaine du Christ la déclaration du concile de Chalcédoine selon laquelle ses deux natures, divine et humaine, ne doivent être ni confondues ni séparées. Nous considérerons l’apport de divers exégètes et théologiens comme Balthasar, Rahner et Pannenberg, et nous offrirons une reprise critique de la position de Thomas d’Aquin, en modifiant sa compréhension des trois genres de connaissance qu’il distingue en Jésus : vision béatifique, connaissance infuse et connaissance acquise.
