Canada and many other developed nations around the world face a growing population of elderly citizens. As people age they tend to require more frequent checkups and health services, ultimately putting a bigger resource drain on healthcare infrastructure. New advancements in Computer Science and Engineering are allowing the development of next generation applications and hardware with the capability of providing required healthcare services in a cost effective and efficient way. This thesis presents an architecture for a multi-agent system designed to record and retrieve medical data for human patients. Furthermore, agents within the system may use reinforcement learning to adapt specific graphical user interface elements in an attempt to improve the user experience. A user can be a doctor, nurse, or patient. User's successful or unsuccessful interface interactions modify interface elements over time. The proposed system is developed and presented with a comparison to existing healthcare systems.
