Le Domaine des Sauvages est pour l’essentiel situé sur la commune de Saint Sylvestre (Haute-Vienne, Nouvelle Aquitaine). C’est une propriété privée qui couvre plus de 80 hectares. Ce site a été classé réserve naturelle régionale en novembre 2015, avec pour organisme gestionnaire désigné par la région, le Conservatoire d’espaces naturels (CEN) du Limousin. Les milieux naturels à fort enjeu de conservation sont les landes à bruyères, les prairies, les milieux tourbeux, les vieilles forêts de hêtre et trois étangs datant du moyen-âge. Depuis 2003, le conservatoire accompagne les propriétaires dans leur volonté de préserver le patrimoine du site, volonté qui a aboutie au classement en réserve naturelle régionale en 2015.
