Este artículo se inscribe en el marco de las discusiones transdisciplinares del Seminario Socio-Humanístico Permanente del Departamento de Humanidades de la Universidad Santo Tomás de Bucaramanga (Colombia) y tiene por objetivo analizar la (ir)relevancia teórico-práctica de la decolonialidad como herramienta epistemológica para desdibujar los limitantes de la paz en Colombia. Partiendo de la interpretación de que la praxis de la paz está limitada por marcos estáticos heredados de la modernidad política, se busca evaluar la pertinencia de la decolonialidad para contrarrestar la visión liberal sobre la construcción de las paces en el país.
