Este artigo apresenta uma nova célula de comutação suave capaz de promover entrada e saída de condução do interruptor principal de conversores CCCC sob corrente nula. Adicionalmente, a corrente máxima no interruptor principal é mantida igual à corrente de carga. Aplicando o princípio da invariância de potência e substituindo a célula PWM tipicamente encontrada em conversores CC-CC clássicos pela célula de comutação suave proposta, obteve-se uma nova família de conversores CC-CC ZCS que é apresentada neste artigo. O principio de operação e as principais características da célula de comutação proposta são apresentadas. Um estudo teórico completo sobre a aplicação da célula proposta em um conversor Buck foi realizado e comprovado através da implementação experimental de um protótipo de 800W em laboratório.
