Abstract
Afin de nommer des spécificités du scenario de court métrage qui ne se limitent pas à des configurations formelles, nous proposons dans cet article de sonder l’imaginaire qui détermine à la fois ses conditions d’existence et l’activité interprétative qu’il convoque. Avec l’intention de nommer un imaginaire du scenario de court métrage, nous analysons deux films : J’attendrai le suivant de Philippe Orreindy (2002) et Next Floor de Denis Villeneuve (2008). Notre étude a pour objectif de mesurer non seulement les caractéristiques structurelles du récit cinématographique de format court, mais également de saisir les facteurs pragmatiques qui jouent un rôle majeur pour l’activité interprétative. Notre conclusion est que le court métrage, par des intrigues échafaudées dans une esthétique de la brièveté, mobilise le spectateur dans un état de mise en phase qui favorise une adhésion sensible à l’imaginaire du scenario qui opère à l’écran.
