Abstract
L’historien français Philippe Ariès utilise les concepts de mort apprivoisée et de mort inversée pour dresser un portrait des changements d’attitudes envers la mort en Occident. Dans la mesure où, au tournant du XXI e siècle, le Québec connait des changements importants autour du mourir, ce texte a pour objectif d’examiner les attitudes envers la mort dans une sélection d’avis de décès parus dans le quotidien La Presse entre 1975 et 2015. Les observations liées à la fois à la présence et à l’absence d’expressions liées à l’exposition du corps permettent d’entrevoir l’émergence d’une mort inversée au Québec.
