Abstract
On 22 April 2017, took place Post-Industrial Ephemera: Soundings, Gestures, and Poetics in the magnificent site of Silo City, Buffalo, at the North of New York State (USA). Reinhard Reitzenstein and I myself, curators of this programme, opened this common space to eighteen artists from two universities nearby Niagara River: SUNY-Buffalo in the United States and Brock University in Canada. We gave them the opportunity to explore issues like «dispersion» and «ephemera» for answering the colossal architecture of those old grain silos. In addition to varied contributions in the field of the Visual Arts, the programme included several musical and chorographical performances. After having been opened during several months to develop artistic practices that were very varied, Post-Industrial Ephemera highlighted a concept provided by the Performing Arts, although this event by itself did not contain any Theatre Performance. It is the concept of Theatricality. In Silo City, it defines the perception of the place, the election of the disposition of the several contributions in the interior of the silos, the performances included in the programme, and,\nafter all, our approach as curators.
