Abstract
The present investigation seeks to propose the adequate clinical validation of the Montreal Cognitive Assessment instrument (MoCA), in patients with Parkinson is Disease in Quito. This is important for the Ecuadorian context, and Latin American, where neuropsychology is gaining weight with this type of actions. In order to cover topics that are related to the clinical validation of the instrument, the prevalence, dementia, criteria, cognitive domains, Parkinson is disease, motor and non-motor symptoms, neuropsychological aspects of the Latin American context, among others are described. In order that the reader understands the importance and procedure of aspects, that neuropsychology provides, such as clinical validations, in Ecuador.
