Cette étude a pour objet l’analyse de pratiques de réemploi et de partage en France et l’appréciation de la portée de certaines initiatives françaises s’inscrivant dans le sillage du mouvement des zones de gratuité temporaires. À partir de deux modèles de gratiferias : le Magasin pour rien à Saint-Amant-de-Bonnieure, en Charente, et Siga-Siga, la Boutique sans argent à Paris, nous nous interrogeons sur ces formes de « retour au partage et à la gratuité » pour en percevoir les ambiguïtés et les tensions. Non seulement les usages des publics qui fréquentent les lieux ne sont pas du même ordre, mais la force des représentations liées aux habitudes marchandes d’une part, aux pratiques du don d’autre part, viennent également impacter les aspirations et les attentes des promoteurs de ces initiatives.
