Abstract
Korrekt laboratoriediagnostik är viktigt inom veterinärmedicin för att alla patienter ska få bästa möjliga vård. Det finns flera faktorer som kan påverka resultatet av analyser. Hemolys, lipemi och bilirubinemi kan störa analyser men syns för det mesta på provet och är därmed något personalen kan ta hänsyn till. En annan möjlig faktor till felaktiga resultat i immunbaserade analyser är interfererande antikroppar. Det är en problematik som är känd sedan länge inom humanmedicinen och svårare att lägga märke till eftersom de inte syns på materialet som ska analyseras. Denna problematik har även uppmärksammats inom veterinärmedicinen. I detta arbete har serum från 52 berner sennen och 45 labrador retriever analyserats med syfte att dels jämföra förekomst av interfererande antikroppar mellan raserna, dels undersöka om dessa interfererande antikroppar orsakar interferens i en kommersiellt tillgänglig AMH-analys (Antimüllerskt hormon). Med en interferens-ELISA observerades en signifikant högre prevalens av interfererande antikroppar (p=0,018) hos berner sennen jämfört med labrador retriever. Serum från alla de kastrerade positiva individerna (11 st) analyserades avseende AMH, och interferens uppstod inte i något av fallen. För att få mer förståelse för interfererande antikroppar hos hund bör fler studier göras på fler raser. Fler studier bör undersöka eventuell interferens av interfererande antikroppar i andra kommersiella analyser.
