Abstract
Au Québec, les milieux urbains semblent être perçus avec méfiance, du moins les espaces centraux des grandes métropoles.Cette attitude collective n'est pas unique en Occident mais le contexte culturel semble lui donner une vigueur particulière sur ce territoire.Les Québécois paraissent davantage attirés par les images bucoliques de la campagne, en accord avec les conceptions traditionnelles du Québec.Une représentation issue de 400 ans d'un genre de vie principalement rural et du projet d'une société agraire francophone et catholique.Cela pourrait également expliquer l'adhésion forte au mode de vie de type banlieue depuis la Révolution tranquille.
