Abstract
L’idée d’informe que développe Georges Bataille dans les années 1920, en marge du mouvement surréaliste et en lien avec lui, relève de ce qu’on pourrait assimiler à une poétique de l’inexprimé. Il n’existe pas d’illustrations satisfaisantes ni de définition claire de l’informe chez Bataille, mais les questions qu’il soulève sont fondamentales et touchent au coeur même des processus de création. L’une des hypothèses que défend « De l’informe de Bataille à l’excommunication de Galloway : perspectives intermédiales sur le théâtre du Long XXe siècle » est que cette quête de l’informe pourrait être un des facteurs qui provoquent les dynamiques de remédiation décrites par Bolter et Grusin (1999). Toutefois, les ultimes avancées en intermédialité et, plus largement, dans le champ de la pensée de la médiation, ouvrent d’autres perspectives, qui transcendent la logique communicationnelle traditionnelle. L’informe relèverait donc plutôt de ce que Galloway (2013) appelle l’excommunication.
