Abstract
Le 2 ème livre des Maccabées (2 M) est un texte deutérocanonique écrit en grec aux alentours du 2 ème siècle ANE qui s’avère plus souvent comparé à des sources hellénistiques que bibliques. Quelques études suggèrent néanmoins une familiarité avec certains livres de l’Ancien Testament, plutôt inusités jusqu’à tout récemment. Le présent article propose une analyse narratologique qui va dans ce sens et montre que la structure quinaire renvoie plus particulièrement à un schéma deutéronomiste. La place du 7 ème chapitre, où est relaté le martyre d’une mère et ses sept fils, constitue le renversement majeur du récit. Après une présentation de la délimitation du texte, de la centralité du 7 ème chapitre et de la structure de 2 M, les liens schématiques et théologiques entre 2 M et Deutéronome sont alors mis en lumière.
