Abstract
Cet article se propose d’observer comment, dans le roman La Case du commandeur d’Édouard Glissant, la narrativité singulière de l’oeuvre parvient à une réécriture de l’histoire des Antilles. Par des analyses textuelles, il s’agit d’étudier les spécificités discursives qui permettent au récit de mimer l’oubli du peuple antillais et, en contrepartie, de se positionner en quête des traces de la mémoire. Nous espérons ainsi montrer comment l’oeuvre propose une configuration singulière de l’Histoire, une réinterprétation du passé où l’éclatement du récit traduirait une mémoire plurielle et représenterait l’identité mosaïque de la collectivité antillaise.
