Cet article présente une démarche partenariale institutionnalisée qui a cours au Service aux collectivités de l’Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM) depuis près de quarante ans, où s’est rapidement développé un volet féministe. À l’heure où la recherche partenariale, sous toutes ses formes, gagne en popularité dans le monde universitaire, l’approche du Service valorise une conception du partenariat dans laquelle la production des connaissances scientifiques est partagée avec des groupes de femmes riches de savoirs, porteurs de besoins collectifs et de changement social. L’article met en perspective le contexte à l’origine de l’approche et ses liens avec l’analyse féministe. Il présente les dimensions clés du cadre institutionnel mis en place pour soutenir les partenariats entre professeur·e·s et groupes sociaux et leur intérêt pour les initiatives féministes. Un projet visant à accentuer la prévention des agressions à caractère sexuel en contexte scolaire sert ensuite d’illustration concrète de l’approche. Puis la réflexion dégage des enjeux et des éléments de conflictualité inhérents à une pratique partenariale féministe qui bouscule les rôles et les pouvoirs traditionnels en recherche.
