Abstract
Rio Tinto has cut its forecast for titanium slag production this year in the wake of a series of unplanned outages and work disruptions at its units in South Africa and Canada. The company trimmed its 2018 slag production forecast for 2018 to 1.1-1.3 million tonnes on Wednesday April 18 from an earlier forecast of 1.2-1.4 million tonnes. Titanium slag production in the first three months of the year was 294,000 tonnes, a year-on-year drop of 12% and down by 14% from the last quarter of 2017, after equipment failures at its facilities in Canada and South Africa. Richards Bay Minerals (RBM), Rio Tinto’s partially owned subsidiary in South Africa, declared force majeure to customers in January after a roaster failure. One of four furnaces at RBM remains idle.

Teacher imitationNot calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)
The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.
Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
score_only:v0-immature-baseline · verbatim from the scoring run: score_only means the number may rank works, and no category label ships from it
