Abstract

A presente pesquisa teve como objetivo avaliar a potabilidade da água de alguns poços de residências situadas no bairro Jardim das Copaíbas no Município de Boa Vista/RR, por meio de parâmetros físicos, químicos e microbiológicos. Foram analisadas 18 amostras de água coletadas em cinco poços residenciais e um poço artesiano na escola do bairro que abastece parte da comunidade, as coletas ocorreram nos meses de março, abril e junho de 2013. Os parâmetros temperatura, pH, cor, sólidos totais dissolvidos, cloro residual livre, turbidez, dureza e microbiológicos (coliformes totais e termotolerantes) foram avaliados e os resultados comparados com os estabelecidos pela Portaria Brasileira de Potabilidade de Água nº 2.914/11 Ministério da Saúde. Através das análises verificou-se que 100% das amostras de águas analisadas estavam fora das normas, sendo assim, consideradas impróprias para o consumo humano, em virtude de haver ao menos um parâmetro físico-químico em todas as amostras fora daqueles recomendados pela portaria. Ademais, constatou-se a presença de coliformes totais e termotolerantes em 100% das amostras analisadas no mês de junho.
