Abstract
A terceira edição do Atlas do Brasil de autoria de Hervé Théry e Neli Aparecida de Mello-Théry, permite visualizar o território brasileiro e suas dinâmicas e disparidades existentes nesse país continental. Essa edição faz um balanço analítico e reflexivo sobre as mudanças no território brasileiro nos últimos 10 anos, fornecendo aos leitores um conjunto de informações textuais e visuais dessas dinâmicas que estão atreladas às políticas públicas que foram sendo realizadas paulatinamente pelo governo federal, seja com objetivo de reduzir as desigualdades sociais e regionais ou ampliar as infraestruturas existentes e, obviamente, as dinâmicas econômicas internas do país. No livro apresentam-se alguns indicadores que apontam avanços e retrocessos entre os dados tabulados e publicados na primeira edição do Atlas em 2005.
