Abstract
The polarization of an antenna can be controlled by the field existing in its feeding waveguide. The concept and design methodology of a special feeding mechanism to control the polarization of millimeter wave antennas is presented. With a single input source and without any change in the antenna dimensions itself, the polarization of the radiated field can be controlled and altered to take any general state with any required axial ratio. An expression for the axial ratio is derived analytically and given as a function of the design parameters.
