Abstract

O desenvolvimento neuropsicomotor e um processo sequencial no qual o individuo progride nas habilidades motoras, sendo a prematuridade um fator de risco. Dessa maneira, o objetivo do presente estudo foi verificar a influencia do Conceito Neuroevolutivo Bobath (CNB) sobre o desenvolvimento motor de uma crianca prematura extrema. Para a avaliacao foi utilizada a escala de desenvolvimento motor de Alberta (AIMS). O tratamento foi realizado durante um periodo de sete meses, com o uso de brinquedos de forma ludica para estimular respostas motoras voluntarias na crianca, manuseios e facilitacoes baseadas no CNB em todos os decubitos. Os resultados indicam melhora no desenvolvimento da crianca que evoluiu do percentil 75 apos sete meses de intervencao. Conclui-se que o CNB contribuiu para a melhora no desenvolvimento neuropsicomotor de uma crianca extremamente prematura aproximando os seus escores de desenvolvimento ao escore tipico.
