Abstract
Le corps dans Nous veillerons ensemble sur le sommeil des hommes est un leitmotiv frappant : il y est à la fois moyen de plaisir et d’expression. L’auteure en fait son premier instrument afin d’écrire la souffrance de ses personnages. Corps et douleur se conjuguent pour esquisser les destins croisés de trois protagonistes en éternelle quête de soi. La lecture de l’ouvrage nous fait voyager dans le monde du non-dit et où le corps est l’actant principal. Les protagonistes prennent conscience de leur entourage de et par un corps entièrement assumé, qui s’exprime en toute liberté et indépendance. Dans cet article, nous nous proposons d’analyser cette représentation à travers des exemples précis de l’œuvre et de (dé)montrer le rôle du corps comme moyen de libération et de découverte du bonheur.
