Abstract
Cet article brosse le portrait du professeur titulaire au Département de communication sociale et publique (UQAM), et récemment retraité, Charles Perraton. Un entretien avec lui, ainsi que des témoignages de collègues et d’ancienn.e.s. étudiant.e.s y sont intercalés. Plusieurs thématiques sont abordées, notamment ses rencontres marquantes avec de grands intellectuels, son type d’encadrement, son parcours de professeur, sa vision de l’enseignement, son engagement social et universitaire, les grandes lignes de sa pensée par un survol de ses articles et, enfin, les modalités éthiques qui ont dirigé sa conduite et qui lui permettent encore aujourd’hui d’expérimenter, dans la joie, de multiples manières de se transformer par la communication et de se rendre digne des événements qu’il est appelé, comme nous tous et toutes, à traverser.
