Abstract
يتناول هذ البحث دراسة احدى روايات ادب ما بعد الاستعمار الا وهي رواية ماء وتوت للكاتب جورج لامنغ لاظهار الاسلوب الذي استخدمه الكاتب كنهج مضاد في اعادة تعريف المُستعمَر ضد الهيمنة الثقافية الغربية والمحاولات التي قام بها الكتاب الغربيون في تصويرهم الخاطئ والنمطي للشعوب المُستعمَرة. ويناقش البحث كيف ان النص البديل مع تفسيراته الجديدة يتحدى المكونات التي استند عليها النص الاصلي. ان اعادة كتابة النصوص الغربية والكتابة كرد عكسي يمثلان مقاومة نصية ضد هذه التمثيلات والتصويرات والمفاهيم الخاطئة التي تم التعبير عنها من قبل المركز، اي الغرب.
 وقد قام لامنغ ببحث التجربة الاستعمارية وتاثيراتها على القيم الاجتماعية والاخلاقية والثقافية للشعوب التي تم استعمارها سابقا. وباعادة كتابة مسرحية "العاصفة" للكاتب المسرحي وليام شكسبير، قام لامنغ بتقديم قراءة بديلة للنص الاصلي والتي قد تصحح او تضعف النص الاصلي. لذا فان الكتابة من منظور ما بعد استعماري يخلق فهما جديدا للاستعمار وتاثيراته.
