Erken Öğrenme Becerileri Değerlendirme Aracının Cinsiyete İlişkin Farklılıklar Yönünden İncelenmesi

Abstract
Bu araştırma erken öğrenme becerilerini değerlendirme aracının 48–66 Aylık çocukların düşünme, dil ve sayı becerileri yönünden cinsiyet farkını ortaya koymak amacıyla yapılmıştır. Araştırmada kullanılan ölçek Toronto üniversitesinden Dr. J. Somwari tarafından 1977 de geliştirilmiş ve ilk kez Kanada’ da 20.088 çocuğun katıldığı (rasgele seçilmiş) bir gruba uygulanmıştır. Ölçek araştırmacı tarafından Kanada’dan getirtilerek Türkçe’ye uyarlanmıştır. Araştırmanın örneklemini, Tokat il merkezinde bulunan resmi, özel ve kuruma bağlı okul öncesi eğitim kurumlarından 48–66 aylık olan 114 ü erkek 86 sı kız olmak üzere toplam 200 çocuk oluşturmuştur.Erken öğrenme becerileri testinin düşünme, dil ve sayı alt ölçeğinin madde analizlerine göre üst % 27 ve alt % 27’lik grupların madde ortalama puanları arasındaki farkların t testiyle karşılaştırıldığında anlamlı çıkması maddelerin çocukları ölçülen Düşünme beceriler, dil becerileri ve sayı becerileri bakımından ayırt ettiğini ortaya koymuştur. Verilerin değerlendirilmesi amacıyla t testi sonuçları karşılaştırılmıştır. Yapılan t testi sonucu erkek ve kızların testin toplam ve üç boyutundan elde edilen puanlar arasında (düşünme-dil ve sayı becerileri yönünden) cinsiyete göre anlamlı farklar bulunmadığı tespit edilmiş ve gerekli öneriler sunulmuştur.
