Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

An industry 3-D seismic survey covers the JAPEX/JNOC/GSC et al. Mallik 5L-38 gas hydrate well. Interpretation supported by biostratigraphy indicates a normally faulted anticline with Mallik 5L-38 occupying the northern downthrown crest. This east-striking fault, near Mallik 5L-38, has 800 m throw interpreted 700 m below gas-hydrate-bearing levels. Fault offset at Mallik 5L-38 gas-hydrate-bearing levels is probably several hundred metres less, because syndepositional fault movement during or after the Late Eocene is suggested. Downhole velocity surveys at Imperial Oil Mallik P-59, J-37, and A-06 wells infer 105 m, 225 m, and 135 m gas hydrate, respectively, compared to 116 m known at the Mallik 5L-38 well. Gas hydrate seismic characterization includes: multiple, generally weak, near-horizontal events; amplitude features on geological reflectors; amplitude 'blanking'; and chaotic, vertical reflective zones surrounding faults. Recognized data contamination features include amplitude-frequency degradation beneath lakes and reverberated energy. There is a spatial correspondence of some subsurface faults with position and orientation of surface lakes, suggesting a possible genetic link.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
