Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

Since its inception 25 years ago, the Journal of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons has been a leader in providing you with the information and educational tools required for your practice. Very early, JAAOS—the Yellow Journal—became the gold standard for clinical review journals worldwide. As we grew, we added to that core of quality review content articles and studies on the cutting edge, such as Orthopaedic Advances, On the Horizon From the ORS, and other sections of the Journal. Most recently, we successfully introduced original research in the “Green Section” of JAAOS. And in last December, we published our first open access article online, officially making JAAOS a hybrid journal. We know that the availability of up-do-date information in orthopaedics becomes more important by the day. To answer this need for quality information made accessible as soon as possible, the Academy now introduces JAAOS Global Research & Reviews. JAAOS Global Research & Reviews—JAAOS Global, if you will, or the Blue Journal—is the official open access, peer reviewed, international journal of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. We are building an editorial advisory board of international physicians and educators to support this mission. While we welcome all submissions, our emphasis with this journal is on content originating outside the United States and Canada, so that we can provide articles of particular interest to the international orthopaedic community. Now, more than ever, orthopaedics truly is a global community. With JAAOS Global Research & Reviews, the Academy can provide its growing worldwide membership and readership with the most current scientific information, be it in the form of original research, review articles, or surgical technique videos. Over the past quarter century, your reaction to JAAOS and to all the Academy's educational offerings assured us of our success in advancing the ways we can be of service to you. From print to electronic publishing, we have consistently striven to maintain that level of quality. We pledge to continue to use all the tools available to assist you in your career and your education. JAAOS Global Research & Reviews is part of the pledge.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
