Abstract
You asked for changes, and we are pleased to oblige. Although family members are always more than welcome, emphasis will be shifted from the family aspect to an intensive learning experience. The 2004 CVMA Convention will include a new, 3-day “Successful Practice of Veterinary Medicine” program aimed at the entire veterinary team. The kickoff evening will unfold with the Opening Ceremonies on the Wednesday night. The scientific continuing education sessions will emphasize the practical aspects of medicine, with ideas and techniques to take back with you to use right away. Sessions in small animal radiology, ophthalmology, dermatology, and surgery; feline medicine; an equine program; and specialty medicine will bring together expert presenters for your benefit. For bovine practitioners, the 23rd World Buiatrics Congress will be held in Quebec City from July 11 to 16, right after the CVMA Con vention. Why not attend both? There will also be wet labs, an exhibit hall with over 80 booths and dedicated exhibit hall time, lots of networking opportunities, award presentations, draws, and class reunions. The Friday night Soiree Nouvelle France will be an evening to remember. Any business meetings will be scheduled outside the continuing education (CE) hours in order to maximize learning opportunities for all. Stay tuned for more details!
