Abstract
Chef-d’oeuvre du compositeur et musicien René Lussier, Le trésor de la langue s’articule autour de trois axes : l’approche musicale et linguistique fait état de la particularité de l’oeuvre à transcrire instrumentalement la voix parlée tout en la réorchestrant dans des styles musicaux variés ; l’approche documentaire se focalise sur le récit du voyage du compositeur entre Montréal et Québec, et offre un témoignage de l’oeuvre en train de se faire ; enfin l’approche historique fait le lien entre la documentation collectée et agencée par le compositeur, et les enjeux historiques et politiques qui s’en dégagent, remettant sur le devant de la scène les événements marquants du xxe siècle, notamment le débat sur la souveraineté et l’épineuse question identitaire au Québec.
